About Me

- Name: Hans Perk
Interested in animation since 1975, worked in Holland with Danish animator Børge Ring for four years (incl. on the Oscar-winning 'Anna & Bella'), then moved to Denmark in 1984.
Co-founder and co-owner since 1988 of A. Film, Europe's foremost animation studio, in business for 23 years. We are the studio behind 'The Flight before Christmas', 'Help! I'm a Fish', 'Terkel in Trouble', 'Asterix and the Vikings', 'The Ugly Duckling and Me' and many more...
Currently the President and CEO of A. Film L.A., Inc. in Los Angeles,
and director of "Miffy the Movie."
Though we are very involved in new techniques, I share a deep passion for Great Classical Animation with everyone at the studio;
Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston's "Illusion of Life" is our bible.

Jerry Hatchcock animates a lot of scenes; although I think he did the ostriches in the background.
This is a charming sequence, I like the Norm Tate scene, I wonder if we do see him do the aligators; because I read somewhere that he animated them.
I must admit: I have a phobia of ostriches; I think they're creepy-looking creatures; and I hate the look of them, the fur, the long necks, the eyes, Urgh! A lot of people think it's a very unusual phobia I have, but it's true - I'm terrifyed of them!

Everyone here, with the possible exception of Howy Swift, is or was a Pluto animator at one point or another.
What is Geroge Nicholas doing here?
Hugh Fraser also animates the Ostrich in 'El Gaucho Goofy'.
I'm not really sure what Hathcock did here... the first scene contains only one ostrich, and gives Swift and Hathcock identical footage counts.
