Directed by Jack Kinney, layout by Al Zinnen, animation by Eric Larson, Hugh Fraser, Jack Boyd (efx) and Harvey Toombs.
These FINAL drafts dated 10/4/48 and 10/13/48.
It is interesting to note the scene numbers - and see how much they have rearranged stuff here...
I didn't think Hugh Fraser worked on this half of the film. I always thought the boys looked like Kimball characters. I certainly never expected to see Eric Larson!
ReplyDeleteThe draft has the shot of the social calendar accompanying the song and the shots of Ichabod accompanying the narration. In the film it's the other way around.
ReplyDeleteHugh Fraser on the children? It's very Ward Kimball and Fred Moore looking to me. Why is Eric Larson here, I thought he was involved in the "Wind in the Willows" as his name was wiped off the credits.
ReplyDeleteWard Kimball and Fred Moore were my estimates on those two, but in drafts there's always changes. Some animators don't even have trademarks, and yet their style is always in the features but differently drawn (a bit on model). I usually don't have a hard time on MGM animators or Bob Clampett animators.
