Directed by Jack Kinney, layout by Lance Nolley & Thor Putnam. Animation by Fred Moore (19 scenes of Katrina and boys), Marvin Woodward (1 scene of Ichabod) and Les Clark (2 scenes of Ichabod). This FINAL draft dated 10/5/48.
Here is part of the song's demo that few have heard before you!
Katrina Song: original production acetate (part) 1947.
Fred Moore does it all (Well, nearly). The scenes are very Kimball looking - well, the guys do. I knew that the animation of Katrina would definately be Fred Moore - as it still has his trademark of appeal here.
I still wonder what Les Clark was cast in the "hat-eating" scenes. I would be surprised if he got a sequence to himself.
This sequence is excellent! I didn't think that Fred did the first scenes of the sequence. The animation gets much looser and a little bit cuter as the song starts.
I figured Freddy animated the guys in this sequence, but I thought Ollie Johnston may have been responsible as well (maybe he was the supervising animator).
We have another uncredited animator on Ichabod: Marvin Woodward.
