On to the theater!

April 10th, 1940 was one month to the day the Nazi armies marched into Holland. More positively, it also was the day the new theater opened on the newly constructed Disney lot in Burbank...

How many people know who that theater was dedicated to?

Earl O. Hurd - Inventor of the cel process!

He passed away in late September of that year.

I was able to spend several weeks working in the theater while mixing a show or two in the early 1990s.

I'll be posting a 1940 Disney Bulletin on my blog tomorrow (May third)
