Hans, draft 016 doesn't want to open, and is replaced by draft 008.
I find it interesting that the first time we see the fairies, at the christening, they're not animated by Thomas or Johnston. Maybe it means the scenes are unimportant enough, and it's true that their personalities are established here, when they're plotting.
Maybe it also shows that, in the next decades, despite their individual genius, the whole "Nine Old Men" worship went out of proportion, to the detriment of many unsung and equally gifted animators.
Hi Lionel, thanks for letting me know - I fixed the link!
As to the fairies, Frank and Ollie did all the exploratory animation and most of the acting scenes - they established the characters. In scenes where their acting was pretty straightforward, I suspect they may have done poses for the other animators, but generally the characters were so well established that animators like the ones here could relatively quickly get a hold of them.
Mind you, I, too, think there are many "unsung" heroes! Animators like Hal King, Eric Cleworth, etc. etc.....
