Hans,
This whole draft is so neat-o!
I also can't wait to see the Blu-Ray transfer.

Thrilling! I find it very interesting that, in such a short scene, almost every shot is by a different animator (though, if I understand correctly what you wrote, Davis probably "keyed" Maleficent before Cleworth and Paliwoda took over).
I know "Sleeping Beauty" by heart, I know "Snow White" very well, but I can't figure what "Snow White" animation was used for the goons.
And why was one shot of the goon leader animated by Milt Kahl: time problem (though Milt must have been pretty busy with Prince Philip)?
Hi Kevin! Love your blog!
Lionel: I added a bit of info on the reused scenes! As to Milt doing the Goon Leader: who knows! Maybe he said "You so-and-so's have all the fun! Lemme do something that is not a #&%! straight human!" But this is conjecture on my part... :-)
You may be right, Hans, about Milt. Still, with one goon shot, and the animation of Philip, the balance is not n favour of his fun!
The Snow White reuses are incredible. We all know about Woolie's reuses in his 60s and 70s movies, but these are mostly what in live-action would be called B pictures. In a major production like Sleeping Beauty, I'm amazed!
