So is Hubley the director and Babbitt the animator? They're an odd couple for sure. Hubley's poses are organic and Babbitt's animation is often overly precise. While this is a beautiful piece, I wonder what it would have looked like if it was animated by Bobe Cannon or Emery Hawkins.

Some of the unusual poses for the salesman, remind me of Gregorio Prestopino poses. It looks as though Babbitt used the music to move from one of these poses to the other creating a lyricism for it.

An excellent piece.
