Prod. 2011 - The Fabulous Mr. Toad (XI)  - Seq. 19.3 - Escape

ToadToadToad
Directed by Jack Kinney, layout by Al Zinnen.
This draft named Revised Final is dated 5/16/49.

Animation by Woolie Reitherman (it is an action sequence after all), Don Lusk (What did do?) and Jack Boyd (light effects). A very atmospheric sequence with another pack of dogs by Woolie.

Why would they revise the Final draft? Add Don Lusk's credits? Change scenes after a preview? Pure speculation, of course...

I figured Woolie did some of the panicky toad scenes. Heck, he does all of them! This is one of the only times he's notated as 'Reitherman' instead of 'Woolie'.
I'd say Don Lusk is probably doing some inbetweens here; all his shots except one feature toad alone.

Maybe Woolie animated the whole sequence at first, then they decided to change some of the scenes and, as Woolie was busy they gave them to Don Lusk?

I never thought that Woolie Reitherman did all of this sequence (or even worked on that part!). I thought the cop was by Marc Davis, somehow - I did suspect that Don Lusk worked on that.
