4 Comments:
A couple of ommissions: A scene of pirates by Art Stevens, and the crocodile is also animated by Cliff Nordberg. (You also mentioned Fred Moore twice...)
In stage tradition, Hans Conreid is the voice of both Hook and Mr Darling, and we see this reflected in the animation assignments as well, with John Lounsbery animating Hook.
The "Starkey" who throws a dagger with his foot is not the same "Starkey" who is the first pirate to grab Smee.
John Freeman gets similar assignments to Clarke Mallory - I expect they were both assistants (Freeman - Kahl, Mallory - Larson, perhaps?)
Cliff Nordberg actually handles all the characters on the ship: Hook, Smee, Pirates and even the Crocodile. It looks like to me that Woolie only animates a few scenes here of Hook but I thought he had much to do with the Crocodile.
Some of the acting scenes and timing of Smee and Hook's reactions to the 'tick-tock' rhythm is just priceless.
Lou Debney is Gerry's assistant again, like on 'Little Toot'. This would also be the first time Eric Larson has been with Geronimi since them too. I wonder if Ham Luske hs Ted Sebern as his assistant.
Nordberg gets to work on every character in the first half of this sequence; Smee, Hook, the pirates, and all the scenes of the croc!
I was in a big hurry, so I just thought you all would tell me if I wrote something wrong :-)
Adjusted the text accordingly...
