Prod. 2074 - Peter Pan (VI)  - Seq. 05.0 - Arrival in Neverland

057058059060061062
063064065066067068
Directed by Ham Luske, laid out by Al Zinnen, Charles Philippi and Lance Nolley. Assistant director Rusty Jones, secretary Ruth Wright.
This FINAL draft dated 5/7/52.

Animated by Clar Weeks, Marc Davis and Les Clark (Tink), Woolie Reitherman, Marvin Woodward, Wetzel "Judge" Whitaker (Lost Boys), Harvey Toombs and Hal Ambro (Wendy), Milt Kahl (Peter, Wendy, John, Michael), John Freeman (Peter, Wendy), John Lounsbery and Hal King (John, Michael).

Nice to see the draft assigning the characters to the animators - which does not happen often.

A big Thank You to Mike Sporn for his nice words! We aim to please!

Also, Happy 84th Birthday to Mr. Mouse, whom I first met when neither of us had turned 50 yet. I hope to be as vigorous at his age!

Finally, give a thought to Jeanette (Mrs. Frank) Thomas, whose memorial has started as I post this - but which I have to miss because, well, I am on the other side of the globe.
I will always miss Jeanette, as I will miss Frank, Marie and Ollie.

Woolie, Whitaker, and Woodward this time; I thought this would be a sure bet for Ward Kimball.

Lance Nolley is also doing layouts here.

As on "Cinderella" and "Alice in Wonderland" we see Marvin animating under Woolie's supervision.

So now we have John Lounsbery animating a couple of scenes of John and Michael... and no separate animator listed for Wendy when Michael lands in her arms, so maybe Lounsbery animated her as well??

That's Tink out of the film for a while, I wonder if we'll see her animators working on other characters.

Didn't expect to see Woolie's name pop up in the fast-pacing shots of the Lost Boys at the beginning - perhaps he did more Lost Boys animation later on??
