Not as much to remark upon here, just a short and sweet connecting sequence with Sibley and Carlson, an effective use of second string talent. John Sibley animates another great walk in shot 14.3, and some strong posing on Goofy in shot 1.
Do we get to see more Silly Symphony drafts in the near future?
Christian: I'd love to see some, but sadly I don't have any more at this time. BUT - if you really are curious, you should get the book "Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies: A Companion to the Classic Cartoon Series" by JB Kaufman and Russell Merritt. It was updated and reprinted in 2016, and is a MUST in any Disney collection! Though it doesn't show drafts, there is a summary of scenes and animators for each of the films, as well as LOTS of other information!
Great!! Then I'll be able to see what Albert Hurter animated in the animated shorts before he got promoted to Inspirational Sketch Artist, unless he also did some Mickey Mouse scenes which I haven't found.
