This 5th draft dated 4/19/48.

Classic performances by Milt and Ollie, with a secondary scene by Toombs. After the assistant's opening sequence we go back a year to get to the good stuff by the masters.

I had saw this a couple months back and still found myself impressed at that scene as it was seeing it as a kid. Milt and Ollie certainly did great on that part alone!

So Milt gets most of the Badger animation, and shares the Rat and Mole scenes quite evenly with Ollie. For some reason Ollie also gets the final shot of Badger.

Next we'll see who animated Toad, which should be interesting. The way he is animated is, I think, quite unique among Disney characters as his pupils rarely leave the centre of his eyes, giving him a crazy look which usually distinguishes Emery Hawkins' animation at other studios (and occasionally at Disney, such as "Donald's Dream Voice")

If my memory is correct, I think Frank Thomas does a good share of (at least) Toad in the next sequence. Eric Larson too. But I'm not entirely sure.
