A. Film L.A. is the Los Angeles associate of A. Film of Copenhagen, Denmark, Scandinavia's largest and Europe's most ambitious animation studio. Productions include 'Albert,' 'Miffy the Movie,' and 'The Flight Before Christmas,' 'Help! I'm a Fish,' 'Terkel in Trouble!,' 'Asterix and the Vikings,' 'Journey to Saturn,' 'The Little Vampire,' 'The Giant Pear,' 'Up and Away!' and 'Checkered Ninja.'

Les Clark's presence in "Mickey in the Beanstalk" is quite perplexing. So far, the scenes that bear his name doesn't showcase his true abilities - as they're simply long-shots that could've been handled by second-stringed animators. For an animator who brought special qualities into Mickey during his career, this feels like a missed opportunity for him.
And here comes the star of the show! Handled by John Lounsbery and Hugh Fraser, a team we will come to know well over the next few years. I love Willie! One of the more relatable Disney characters for me. I don't think "Chocolate potroast with pistachio gravy" sounds all that appetizing for a main course meal, though.
This sequence had to be done after the shelving, as Lounbery and Fraser were exclusively working for the Norm Ferguson /T Hee unit in the pre-strike days. The same goes for Hal King and Judge Whitaker, who only seemed to work with Jack King before the mid-1940s.
Willie the Giant is animated by the dedicated tag-team of John Lounsbery and Hugh Fraser, a familiar pairing from other features.
Our three heroes are more haphazardly cast. Some wide-shots which they share with Willie are credited only to Fraser, and the scene of Donald hiding in the bowl of onions (where only Willie's hand appears) is credited to John Lounsbery! Hal King (continuing from the previous sequence), John Sibley, Les Clark and Hal Ambro also one or two scenes each (including one back view of Mickey by Clark which could surely have been given to one of the lesser animators).
