Prod. 2063 - Cinderella (XV)  - Seq. 4.1 - Clock Strikes

103104105106107
Directed by Ham Luske, laid out by Lance Nolley and Ken O'Connor. Assistant director Larry Lansburgh, secretary Ruth Wright.
This final draft dated 11/25/49.

Cindy: Eric Larson, Marc Davis, Hugh Fraser
Prince: Eric Larson, Marc Davis
Duke: Frank Thomas, Hal King
Footman: Judge Whitaker
Mice: Phil Duncan, George Nicholas
Horse & Bruno the Dog: Hugh Fraser
Effects: George Rowley, Josh Meador

Interestingly, Frank and Ollie in their Illusion of Life show the model that layout man Ken O'Connor had made of the coach, which served as model for the animators. Certainly worth having a look at again.

Hal King does the duke? Thats much more unexpected than Frank Thomas.
Josh Meador's horsemen are no real achievement, are they? Shot 77.1 isn't timed very well.
In shot 90, Nick Nicholas squishes Jaq's face the same way does in many Pluto cartoons.

There quite a lot of Marc Davis Princery here too, it's not all Eric Larson. (And Les Clark animated him in the previous sequence)

Josh Meador's horseman is alright. The shot with the pumpkin broken into pieces is excellent.

It seems from the pages of the coach. The last missing page of the "Fairy Godmother" sequence that was supposed to appear on that sequence. The coach on that was probably my Meador, comparing to this sequence.
