Prod. 2079 - Lady and the Tramp (VIII)  - Seq. 03.2 - What is a Baby?

050 051 052 053 054 055
Directed by Ham Luske assisted by Jim Swain. Laid out by Ken Anderson, Al Zinnen and Thor Putnam. Secretary Ruth Wright.
This Final draft dated 8/5/54.

Animation by Ken O'Brien, George Nicholas, Jerry Hathcock, Harvey Toombs, Hal Ambro, Hal King with the baby by George Rowley.

Again, very serviceable animators, no masterpieces...
I like the CinemaScope note for sc. 28: "Lady will have to be alive throughout scene."

These are the usual animators on scenes of Lady with Jim and Darling... Hal Ambro and Harvey Toombs animating all characters, Ken O'Brien mostly animating humans and Hal King mostly? animating Lady.

The scenes of Lady on her own are animated by George Nicholas and Jerry Hathcock, much like the scenes in sequence 1... though Jim Dear walks in on a George Nicholas scene as well.

Lots of George Nicholas in this sequence and before in this film! And probably more of him later in the film!

I'll admit I'm not too big a fan of these sequence. I find it a little slow-paced for my liking, particularly the Lady scenes, although the animated stuff from Hal King or George Nicholas are appealing stuff.

P.S. I notice some of my comments from the two previous sequences aren't published.
