38 39 4041
Directed by Bill Roberts assisted by Mike Holoboff.

This FINAL draft dated 11/15/1946 by "Toby" Tobelmann.

Animated by Woolie Reitherman, Jack Campbell, John Lounsbery, Hugh Fraser, Bob Carlson and John Sibley. Effects by George Rowley.

Woolie cast as animator of exciting action, a roll we have seen him in so often. This then is the ending of Mickey and the Beanstalk, and we cut to live action.

Hans, you're a wonderful ending of "Mickey and the Beanstalk", and next one is "Bongo" is coming up after live-action and cartoon animation where Jiminy and the giant is on the scenes. And I love it. :)

This sequence makes it really hard to tell if Woolie animated before or after his war service. There's allot of stuff that's particularly involved with other animators by him here. I really like his scenes of Donald getting pulled into the tree while it's being cut. Lounsbery's solitary shot 5 uses color effectively to register anger. Fraser, being a competent action animator, handles the rest of Willie competently through this sequence. Billy Bob and Ham Luske use him considerably differently than Jack Kinney, who gave him lots of facial scenes in his 1950s Goofys.
