Clearly another major highlight and perennial Christmas classic, this is a masterpiece of character animation by Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston and Marc Davis.

I used to think there was a different animator working on Smee there because Smee is drawn with a belly button for most of the scenes where in other scenes, he isn't - and I was surprised Johnston turned up - but his acting and animation is there for sure...

I used to think that the extra close-ups of Hook whispering to Tinker Bell (in scenes like 'Like an old glove...') were a different animator but - its still Thomas.

Shot 37 of Smee is the only 'smear' that we see in the film...

This is the most concentrated use of directing animators so far... Strange to see Hook animated by Eric Larson and, in one shot, Ollie Johnston!

Frank Thomas is quite the multi-tool here. I always thought the closeups of Hook in shots 11, 17, and 21 looked allot like Norm Ferguson work. Eric Larson certainly is an interesting addition to hook's roster, though.
